AI shouldn’t stand for Artificial Intelligence, it should stand for Augmented Intelligence We often get caught up in the "Artificial" narrative which is the fear of replacement, the race for automation, and the worry about machines making decisions for us and they are taking over. But the real magic of AI isn't in what it can do instead of us. It’s in what it allows us to do because of it. Think about it: Augmentation is a doctor using AI to detect patterns in medical imaging faster than the human eye. Augmentation is a creative using AI to brainstorm 50 concepts in minutes, so they can spend their time refining the best one. Augmentation is an analyst automating the grunt work of data cleaning so they can focus on high-level strategy and storytelling. The goal of AI isn't to build a digital replacement. The goal is to build a tool that will increase our human potential. When we frame it as Augmented Intelligence, we shift the conversation from "Will this take my job?" to "How will this unlock my best work and my best possible self. We aren't competing with the machines. We are partnering with them to solve harder problems, think bigger, and achieve more. The future belongs to those individuals and businesses who view AI as a tool for expansion, not a substitute for human ingenuity. How are you using AI to augment your workflow this week?
